Senators acquire Stillman and Commodore
The Ottawa Senators have shuffled the deck in a big way by completing a four-player transaction with the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Senators have acquired defenceman Mike Commodore and forward Cory Stillman in exchange for defenceman Joe Corvo and forward Patrick Eaves.

Simon gets back on ice with Islanders
Chris Simon skated with the New York Islanders on Wednesday and will travel with the team to Toronto for their game on Thursday against the Maple Leafs.
Simon will be eligible to return to the Islanders' line-up against the Tampa Bay Lightning next Thursday. He has been serving a 30-game suspension for stomping on the leg of Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jarkko Ruutu.

The Rangers and goaltender Henrik Lundqvist have agreed on a new multi-year contract.
According to a Wednesday report in the New York Daily News, the deal is thought to be for six years, $39.5 million.
